With 7 years of professional experience in information technology and 4 years experience teaching Networking as an adjunct, I have collected a wide variety of skills across different domains, such as information security, enterprise cloud infrastructure management, and virtualization technology. Cloud

Expansive experience with Microsoft 365 enterprise cloud infrastructure

  • Azure Active Directory & Hybrid deployments with traditional AD
  • Information Rights Management and Identity Protection policy creation and implementation
  • Cloud Security products, including Security, Compliance, Microsoft Defender, Azure Advanced Threat Protection, Endpoint Protection via Endpoint Manager, Cloud App Security, Microsoft Secure Score, and much more.
  • SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive management and migration
  • JAMF Pro and MS Endpoint Management (Previously Intune) administration, including Mobile Device management.

 

Cyber Security

In addition to cloud security, I am also experienced in various other cyber security domains, such as risk management, vulnerability scanning and mitigation, cyber security and industry best practices, operating system and image hardening, end-user training and more.

  • Cyber Security end-user training, policy writing and documentation
  • Vulnerability scanning and patch management with Qualys, CIS-CAT, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Implemented Microsoft MFA and Self Service Password Reset
  • Experience with enterprise level anti-virus software, such as Cortex XDR Endpoint Protection, and Microsoft's Defender for Endpoint
  • Symmetric and Asymmetric encryption alogrithms, SSL certification management.

 

Datacenter, Virtualization & Server

My experience in the datacenter and virtualization technology domains are with VMWare and Dell products.

Development

I'm not a software developer by training, but have some development experience I've gained through my project work. I'm familiar with Java, C# and Python, and interacting with API's such as GraphAPI. I've also set up many intergrations between M365 / Azure and third party cloud services and vendors.

 

Networking

I possess intermediate experience in the Networking domain.

  • Cisco routers and switches, IOS configuration
  • Understanding of TCP/UDP and common protocols and services such as HTTP/S, TLS/SSL, SSH, DNS, DHCP, FTP and more.
  • OSI model
  • Common routing protocols such as OSPF/v2, EIGRP and BGP.

 

Miscellaneous Skills & Knowledge

The following skills listed below are areas of which I am familiar with, and possess entry level experience or fundamentals. I list these here because my experience in these skills are not of sufficient level to necessarily include on my resume, but are still worthy of mentioning.

 

  • Programming: I have some experience with C#, C++ and Java programming languages through my education. I made a "B", "C" and "A" respectively.

  • Scripting: I have quite a bit of hands on experience with PowerShell

  • Linux OS, FreeBSD, Docker, ZFS: I have exposure and entry level experience in these areas as a hobby.
